What to wear for family photo

DH, myself and two DDs aged 2 yrs and 2 months are going for a family photo shoot.

What the heck do we wear??
I'm thinking not too smart eg don't want DH in shirt and tie.
Presumably our colours shouldn't clash. But if we all wear the same it will look odd?

No idea if this is the right section. But hope somebody can help. I'm not the most stylish or good at coordinating things, but obviously want this to look nice.

Thanks!

Advice in the past has been to all wear jeans and then tops of similar colours. Try and stick to a similar colour palette. Some advise to all wear jeans and white shirts

Yes to jeans (dark wash) and white shirts. Had photos done about 10 years ago, black and white and they still look fab, not dated at all.
