Please help me find a dress suitable for a wedding AND breastfeeding!

I know a jersey wrap dress is supposed to be ideal but I can't find one.

To complicate matters further, I'm only five foot so need the dress to be petite fit or something not too long at least. I am a size 8/10 at the moment. I also need it to be a dark colour and probably patterned too to disguise leaks as DS likes to pop of when milk is in full flow

I plan to look at Bluewater but need a heads up about where to look.

Have you tried ASOS. I had a lovely jersey dress from there which was maternity but work well after for breast feeding.

chaosisawayoflife · 18/06/2012 18:34

Does it have to be a dress? I'm going to a wedding and b'feeding and I'm going to wear a skirt and top. More versatile and easier to feed discretely imo. Also more likely to be able to wear in the future.

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 18/06/2012 18:37

Oh, I've got one with zips.

I'll check where it's from when I put DS to bed shortly.

(it's size 8, I'd happily sell it!)

I'm loath to get a specific breastfeeding dress, as they tend to double up as maternity wear and I think they will swamp me. I'm really not pregnant shaped now.

Oh okay, many of the dresses were wrap dresses, I thought they may be okay - i.e. they may not necessarily be maternity dresses.

Look on the bravissimo website, I had some jersey dresses from there when I was breastfeeding.

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 18/06/2012 19:35

This is the one I've got, although in a darker pink colour (that one looks coral, or something).

It was a bit short (in body and skirt) on me, I'm 5'7", but would probably be ideal on you.

Was £60 new, pm me if you'd be interested in mine, I only wore it twice! (I don't do dresses!)

mrsalwaysawake · 18/06/2012 20:02

Yes, why are most breastfeeding clothes also maternity clothes? It's nearly eleven months since I was pregnant - I want nice clothes with easy boob access, not things that drape over my belly!

IHeartOldYork · 18/06/2012 20:06

I wore this to a wedding recently - out of stock now but I found having buttons to undo with a cropped vest top underneath to pull up worked really well.

PoppyWearer · 18/06/2012 20:10

This.. From Joules.

I can personally vouch for it being breastfeeding-friendly, nips in the waist and skims the tummy!

I recently wore this in the smokey Navy:

to a wedding & was perfect to feed my 7 wk old in! May need to take it up slightly though as was pretty long! Lots of luck

This site has some lovely dresses and tops

Im in the same sitation as kickingking. I reallyLike the dress from the white company- wondering if heels and a birdcage fascinator would go with it or too formal?

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 19/06/2012 23:23

How about this kickingking? With bright accessories.

orange, on the off chance it suits you. Looks like a great cut

I've not opened all the links - it's late, should be in bed, so sorry if I'm repeating someone.
