Shoes to go with a swing dress

I am going to an Armed Forces Day event next weekend. I have bought 2 50's style swing dresses (love both!) but have no clue what shoes to wear!

One dress is navy with a tiny white polkadot, the other teal.

I can't wear very high heels as they kill me so what colour and style of shoe should I go for?

Peep-toes would be my best bet with a dress in that style. Kitten heels or mid heel if you can't do height.

I always find it awkward to accessorise navy and white polka dot. Maybe red if you have a red clutch bag or perhaps navy satin?

How about some low heeled peeptoes or else some flat brogues with ankle socks might look cute?
