Debenhams has a great sale on...here are some I picked for under £50 that you might want to consider?

draped halter black
red/black/white
pink twist front
print chiffon
black maxi
blue satin
purple chiffon
black one shoulder
pink colourblock

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/06/2012 10:13

Do you want long or knee length? And what colours/shapes do you like/suit?

SharonGless · 16/06/2012 10:30

House of Fraser have a great sale on. Give us some more details

seeker · 16/06/2012 12:48

Thank you! Faux fox- I love the black maxi one but they've only got it left in a 6! :( I think I'm too old for most of the others.

I'd like long- but I don't think I've got time to have anything taken up, and they will undoubtedly be too long for me- i'm only 5'4! Mid calf is my favourite length..

I'm a Monsoon-y type, I think, if that helps.

Seeker, I have [[http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/French+Connection+Penny%60s+party+dress/145978689,default,pd.html this dress].

Am a short person too. It comes to my knee. Very slimming and forgiving with those little ruffles.

nottonitejosefine · 16/06/2012 13:02

this is nice

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 16/06/2012 13:07

grey - maybe? if your not norky
cream - topshop, of all places

EdithWeston · 16/06/2012 13:42

This dress from John Lewis is really flattering (and is also available as a maxi).

Sonotkylie · 16/06/2012 19:43

Hobbs outlet online. Lots to look at! Next day delivery not as eye watering as many and you can return in store. I've always done well there. Oh and very Ebay-able

Try tk maxx.

Got a lovely midnight blue body con one shouldered number for £40. Looked awful on hanger but once on it was gorgeous.
Got loads of compliments on it.

seeker · 17/06/2012 16:22

Thqnk you all. Still looking through. Although if you could seem me, the idea of me in a " a lovely midnight blue body con one shouldered number" might make you feel a little queasy........!

c'mon give ua the low down - age, clouring, dress size (sales), good bits, bad bits, the sort of colours you like and budget.

Seeker will go to the ball Wink

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 17/06/2012 18:54

Oh yeah and do you have any good bags /shoes we can look for something to go with?

ChablisLover · 17/06/2012 19:10

Seeker - I'm no spring chicken or at least don't feel like it.

There are loads of dresses out there for all shapes and sizes.

What age, size, colouring are you?

Will try and help. Smile

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 17/06/2012 19:20

The short version of this? Still quite a few sizes left in som e of the colours. Probably about mid calf on you.

maybe? (3rd colour option here)
