£30 M&S voucher, what to buy?

Got a £30 voucher for M&S. What should I buy for my lovely self?

I have lots of skirts and dresses already, but happy to see links for anything else.

I am 29 but look and dress younger. I favour things like skinny jeans with converse, knee length skirts with polo necks or the occasional shiny pair of leggings with a chunky jumper.

I'm a size 6/8, 5ft 1.

Pants or wine.

scarlettsmummy2 · 14/06/2012 20:39

They have some lovely scarves sat the moment! Alternatively some new undies and a dine in meal?

gingerchick · 14/06/2012 20:41

Definitely underwear !

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 14/06/2012 20:43

Cake and wine.

dexter73 · 14/06/2012 20:44

I take it you haven't seen the Foxy scientist dress?

IslaValargeone · 14/06/2012 20:45

deffo cake and wine, oh and you'd better chuck in a scarf as it is after all the style section.

yellowraincoat · 14/06/2012 20:46

Oh but I'm happy just with scabby food from Tesco.

I had seen that dress and lovely as it is, I might pass.

Really nothing stylish in M&S? I buy all my knickers from Primark.

Not sure why I was given an M&S voucher when I think about it.

Jewellery

(though I'd probably end up buying school trousers, socks and undies in real life)

Vajazzler · 14/06/2012 20:54

If I were you I would spend it on school uniform in their 20% off sale and give myself the £30 cash to spend on myself somewhere else Wink

yellowraincoat · 14/06/2012 20:55

I don't have kids, so the school uniform would be a bit pointless for me...

Stylish, well, no, not really!

this is kind of sweet but I bet you find similar-but-nicer cheaper elsewhere

Something like this with, say, this would be delightful for a summer sunday afternoon.

yellowraincoat · 14/06/2012 20:56

Hmph.

Just going to give it to someone as a present I spose.

Their pink prosecco is really lovely, if you hold off until their next 25% deal you would get for about £7.00 a bottle.

FairToMiddlin · 14/06/2012 21:09

I don't really like the clothes but I would be happy to buy accessories, underwear or some nice nightwear.

Or food Grin

wildfig · 14/06/2012 21:24

You could get two Foxy Scientist dresses now it's in the sale. One for you, one for Mrs Overall a friend.

mamalovesmojitos · 14/06/2012 21:42

Yy to pink prosecco.

FakeFurCoatAndThermalKnickers · 14/06/2012 21:57

I like their vest tops (the fairtrade cotton ones they sell in the underwear department, think you get one white and one black for £9 or so, and they are great for layering), pants (brazilian ones are great, don't show under skinny jeans or jeggings, comfier than a g string and a bit more attractive than seamless pants), and socks(soft and last for ages). Sometimes they have nice shoes at under £30, worth a look to see what's in.

Sonotkylie · 15/06/2012 10:22

Jewellery is good at M and S - I was amazed. Otherwise pants, stock up for some tombola prizes (or similar i.e. Christmas presents for people you don't know very well) or food. And then tell yourself you have £30 to buy yourself something somewhere you like

polyhymnia · 15/06/2012 10:23

Autograph tights, summer and/or opaques.

wildfig · 15/06/2012 15:37

sonotkylie I like your fashion maths, there.

I'd stock up on Autograph opaques, and then hide them in a cupboard for the winter - there's something really nice about discovering a boxfresh, slightly expensive pair of tights when you're feeling a bit skint.
