Yes, it's another what to wear to a wedding thread. I've got this blouse (apols for ebay link, it's the only pic I can find). I'm going to a wedding and would like to wear it as I love it, and it's easy for b'feeding in, but what to wear on my bottom half? I'm 5'3, size 10-12, legs aren't my best feature but don't mind showing them.

How about a black, high waisted pencil skirt? Are these too high? These look like they could work, or these?

A nice cream/white tailored trouser?

chaosisawayoflife · 15/06/2012 14:07

Thanks both. Not sure about black pencil skirt, might look a bit officey I think? Would a white or cream one work? How about a fishtail skirt like this but in a different colour? Anyone seen one on their travels?
I'm a bit scared of high waists, I think because I'm quite short. I assume if I wear a skirt I have to tuck the blouse in?
What about trousers? Tucked in or out? What sort of shape trouser is good?
Ooh, and gorgeous shoes. I have nude heels that I would probably wear, but I can see me being tempted by some of those!

What about peplum? Do you have to be size 8 for it to work?

It could work - depends how much poof the blouse has when it's tucked in - dress size certainly isn't a constraint.

chaosisawayoflife · 15/06/2012 18:09

Are you thinking the less poof the better?

Yeah, a minimum of poof is essential, I'd say. TBH I think they tend to need a fitted top, but it could work.

would this match? or the beige maybe? Seriously though - poof elimination is essential if you want this style of skirt, a straight one would be much easier to wear.

TBH I really dislike the blouse. Sorry. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong but to me it looks like the love child of per una and the worst of the 90s! But yesh, that's totally beside the point Blush

If you really want to wear it, how about a straight skirt in the blue or green shade and this peplum jacket over it?

Or just go all the way with floaty say, this or this Blouse over skirt and a thin, black waist belt over the blouse?

peplum dress - easy to BF - navy, (love the raspberry version myself, but maybe a bit bright for your taste?)
