Debenhams sale-what a con!!

Debnhams advertised a half price sale-what a crock of shit!! none of the dresses I have my eye on are in the sale at all and the one that is is only reduced by 30%. Am-they have loads left of the dresses I like so clearly not selling them so why are they not in the bloody sale!!

Because it's not half price off everything, just half price off the stuff they can't shift!

Imho the only debenhams sales worth going to are Megaday (usually 2 or 3 times a year).

Pop along there this evening for a butchers. They banged on about it so much I thought there must be some good reductions.

I've stopped going in to Debs as our local one is so old fashioned and looks like the Grace Brothers off 'Are You Being Served'!! They have some OK stuff for DH, but I've not bought anything for me in ages. Might take a peruse of the men's sale,though...

Does anyone know when the next mega day sale is then? am really dissapointed about the dresses. Have seen a maxi that I tried on previously is reduced by 40% so may try it again but apart from that there is nowt

It's a rare day that Debenhams hasn't got a sale on; they seem to be perpetual.

The stores do vary - some are quite up-to-date, but I agree with Toffeefee, others are like department stores from the dark ages! The Stratford-upon-Avon branch springs to mind. I'm always on the lookout for Mrs Slocombe and her pussy.

I agree. I went today especially as had read on here that sale was starting. When I got there I thought I must had have it wrong and asked a couple of clipboard-toting managers when the sale is starting and they sheepishly answered "today"!!. What a load of old tat that was on sale, and none of the nice summer stuff. Very disappointing and misleading.

Ive had my eye on some cushions from there (and thats about it) but for the past 2 years they have been in the sale for £20 each, no matter how much is off their sale or a mage day they are always £20.

1 day i will get round to buying them but i add them to my basket and then get mad at debenhams for trying to rip me off so i delete it again - sigh

Yes, not a fan of Debenhams. We got a £50 voucher as a wedding gift and I gave it to DH to spend

So many shops do this and you have to wait for the second or third mark-down before getting good bargains.

I love it when shops lower everything to 50% off on the first day of the sale.
