It's quite £££, but is it worth it? Are there any other brands people would recommend in this price range?
Thanks

Am watching....

Seafolly are very good quality. I could recommend other similar brands but I'm not allowed. I run my own retro swimwear web shop and last time I tried to help a fellow mumsnetter I got reported Blush

Anyway, we don't sell Seafolly but I can confirm their swimwear is gorgeous and lovely quality from the samples I've seen Grin

frankie76 · 13/06/2012 21:46

I would also recommend Freya and fantasie swim

smellylittleorange · 13/06/2012 22:53

cheaper in TKMAXX

I have been looking at the Jantzen ones as well HTH

SpringGoddess · 14/06/2012 09:15

I just bought the Seafolly Sophia - it's lovely, really me and the tiny two piece bikini is not.

RamblingRosa · 14/06/2012 10:47

I bought two of the retro one-pieces recently and sent both back. They were really nice but the fit was odd. I'm an 8-10 and I ordered them both in size 10. I could barely get them on. When I did get them on, the cups weren't big enough. So maybe they work better if you're more athletic (less norks and hips, more straight up and down Confused).

V nice designs though and I love the low-leg retro look.

Pagwatch · 14/06/2012 10:51

They are very good quality. I always look at sea folly first now.
They are well made and they last.

RamblingRosa
They do different lines for different body types. The goddess line is for women with bigger breasts

I finally got round to trying a Seafolly costume on in JL yesterday, didn't like the colour but the style and quality was great. I did try on a couple of other brands to compare, but Seafolly won hands down. The material felt really thick and had staying power. Have ordered these two to try....

I have the bikini vsn of your link and I love it, it's lasted really well, the fabric is really thick and it's v flattering. I also have this

which is brilliant, it stays put even proper swimming and in the sea and is easy to adjust to fit.

Love seafolly, mainly because the quality is so good.

Minshu · 14/06/2012 23:15

I bought a sea folly tankini while in Australia 9 years ago. Far and away the best swimming cossie I ever had. I loved it, but it finally gave up the ghost after about 5 years of use. I'm going to scan the links above to find a similar one, now that you've reminded me. Worth the money, IMO.

wetnoodle · 14/06/2012 23:26

Vix and Zimmermann also really good brands in that price range. I've got a Seafolly bikini and it looks like new two years on. Same with the Vix and Zimmermann ones I own

Birdspa · 14/06/2012 23:27

Always been a fan of Seafolly. Just bought 2 new bikinis from their latest collection. Tried loads on in high street stores first but they just didn't live up to the seafolly quality and style. You get what you pay for (though i agree, they are pricey). The way I see it, you need to feel as best you can in a bikini over all other clothes purchases, so worth the money.

HollyMadison · 15/06/2012 04:56

I've got a seafolly bikini and it's the best bikini I've ever had. Def worth the money. I thought the bandeau top wouldn't work - post BF - but it does. I am petite but curvy and wear uk size 8 clothes but the seafolly bikini is size 12.

skandi1 · 15/06/2012 07:32

Sea folly is fantastic. It fits well and looks great. Sadly I have found anything else quite as good. That said Princess Tam Tam also do nice swimwear in similar price bracket but you need to try it on as not all of it is as flattering as sea folly.

sleeplessinsuburbia · 15/06/2012 08:03

Seafolly or jets (by jessika Allen I think). Very similar, both Australian.

suntodayplease · 15/06/2012 08:41

Great, have high hopes for one of the ones I've ordered. It actually for everyday swimming at the gym AND a holiday hence going for a slightly sensible but still a bit glam style. Does anyone know if you get good sales bargains with seafolly? Might be tempted to get a bikini if there are good reductions.

I have several Seafolly bikinis. The oldest two i brought in 06, still going strong and looking really good. Given the large amount of wear they have had whist I was overseas for 6 weeks.

Really lovely swimwear.

Poppolino · 15/06/2012 10:12

I wear the swadolly DD halter bikino top; you an mix and match the bottoms. Moontide are similar, I suggest you go up a size for the bottoms but not the top. Worth every penny

PaulineCalf · 15/06/2012 10:59

I have a few Seafolly bikinis, v good quality, I also love Baku bikinis, another good quality Australian label. I have only just cottoned onto the fact that although I'm a size 8, I actually need a size 12 in both top and bottoms as I'm an hourglass.

Annang · 18/01/2014 18:57

I like Seafolly but just find the bikinis too expensive. I tend to stick to the high street, I don't expect the same quality but could buy 5 for the price of 1 seafolly bikini. I recently bought some from www.bikinibay.co.uk which were good quality and reasonably priced.

kikumami · 06/08/2014 16:42

Hello, can anyone give me advice about size of bottom part brief please?
I am mostly size 10 for bottom, sometimes size 12.
But for Seafolly swim wear, do you suggest I should choose one size up for the Shimmer Mini Hipster?
Thank you.
:)
