How to cover my arms with this dress?

I have a black tie do soon and am a bit limited for what I can wear - it needs to be a full length dress really but I am a size 22 and 18 weeks pregnant. It is a do which I go to every year so I usually have something new.

However, this year I have very little money and do not really want to buy something specifically to wear to accommodate my pregnancy, partly because I won't necessary wear it again, and also because a couple of years ago when last pregnant and attending something similar, I wore a dress in a slightly different style but identical colour to this which I still have and which ticks the boxes, although I don't love it.

However, it is sleeveless and I would prefer to cover my arms. Just wondering what colour shrug would go with this colour? I have gold and black shrugs bought for other occasions/other dresses, but dont think they would go.

If necessary I will go sleeveless, but wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks in advance.

How about a silver shrug - tis a lovely colour dress btw

Love the colour! this would be about perfect IMHO. Or maybe this or this if you fancy a bit of a print.

Think silver might work well, thanks CMOT.

Procrastination - I'm guessing use the scarves as a sort of stole-type-thing? Like that idea too, especially the first and last ones, although with the last think I would need to check the colour against the dress but it does look like a very good match.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Yeah, as a stole type wrap type thing - there's a lot more potential to get your moneys worth out of a shawl than a shrug I think. IME shrug tend to hang about in the back of the wardrobe for most of their lives.

I think the zara would would probably tone rather than match IYSWIM. the first one is likely to much more versatile though - a lot easier to wear with jeans and the like.

I think gold would go really well with that colour - think of Emerald rings!

Do you have gold shoes/bag/necklace?

I do have a gold shrug - nice glittery monsoon one and some grecian style sandals which would be good as the dress is super long and I'd love to get away with flat shoes. Didnt think it would go well but may try it on and have a look.

Otherwise do like idea of stole/wrap.
