Turned 40 and the curls in my hair have changed...anyone else?

I have been looking at photos of my previous self, about 4-5 years ago. My hair was LUSH. Gorgeous curls, thick.

Now, post baby (18 months ago), perimenopausal, my hair looks like shit. I do think it's hormonal because it's as thick as it was and I do exactly the same to it. I've just had an expensive cut, and it's a great cut, and it still doesn't curl like it did.

Anyone else? If so, any tips or products for rejuvinating the curls?

I have had this in reverse - as a teenager I had lovely, wild curls which then all but disappeared in my 20s. Now, in my 30s, and after 2 kids, they are gradually coming back. No advice on how to get the curls back but just to say that, in my experience, hormones can massively change your curls.
