DD is nearly 4 and am looking for a yellow fisherman style raincoat

Something like these ones:

www.petit-bateau.co.uk/e-shop/product/69025/68W/the-petit-bateau-raincoat.html

The petit bateau one is a classic, but they are shortish I think. Why do you not want that one?

caerlaverock · 09/06/2012 22:31

Look at the freaking price of theses! Get her a peppa pig one from asda

monkeysmama · 09/06/2012 22:34

My dd had the yellow Petit Bateau one for 3 years and it's still pristine.

MrsBovary · 09/06/2012 22:35

I bought the Petit Bateau one in yellow for dd just a few weeks ago. It's lovely, really nice, it's not short, but I think we were advised that the overall fitting was small.

eastendywendy · 09/06/2012 22:35

Lol re Asda dd has a lovely spotty Asda one

I want one now for my dd.

RillaBlythe · 09/06/2012 22:36

Try Hatley, saw one there.

caerlaverock · 09/06/2012 22:37

Go on holiday to Brittany they sell them everywhere.

hellymelly · 09/06/2012 22:39

I like raincoats to come to the knees, or you get the wet knee thing, and the PB one is more mid-thigh, but other than that is lovely. If you go for that remember that French sizing is retrospective, the age is "up to" rather than "from" which UK sizing is. So an 8y is 6-8 or 7-8 depending on the garment, 4y is 3-4 etc.

PrisonerOfWaugh · 09/06/2012 22:40

We got ours from Debenhams I think, but it was 2-3 years ago.

I know JoJo do one

MrsBovary · 09/06/2012 22:41

The amore coat looks nice too. I like the lining and the glossiness.

Trotters have a bargain version www.trotters.co.uk/c-333-outerwear.aspx My twins have them in red and the quality is good, but not as good as the Petit Bateau, they seem to be large fitting.

sugarspiceandallthingsnice324 · 09/06/2012 22:43

I like the petit bateau one, but when i went to the shop they only had the navy and it looked a bit boyish on her - don't know whether it was the colour or the shape. If any of you with kids who have them wouldn't mind sharing a photo of your child in theirs i would be most grateful. I can't seem to find any pics of kids wearing them online either. I really love the other one, but it is so expensive - i just couldn't justify it.

Just found this one too.

We love ours BTW, waterproof and windproof, and bright enough to be spotted at a mile. Survived 2 kids immaculately.

GnocchiNineDoors · 09/06/2012 22:46

Jojomamanbebe?

MrsBovary · 09/06/2012 23:19

I can't promise, but I'll try to take a picture of dd wearing the Petit Bateau coat in the next couple of days. I think we're predicted rain for the next couple of days.

jammietart · 10/06/2012 12:16

Saint James? We've always had petit bateau ones for DD and DS. They have the yellow in stock on bibaloo.com with a picture. And agree with sizing up. You might need age5.

CardiCorgi · 10/06/2012 21:14

I got one for DD in M&S, but I can't find it on their website now. It is a slightly paler yellow and has an asymmetric zip. It was in the boys' section which seems silly, my DD looks very cute in it.
