Rules around skinny jeans and heels

I normally wear skinny jeans with flats, but am going out next weekend and want to wear heels with them. However, I'm not sure of the S&B rules around the length of skinny jeans to wear with heels. Should they finish at the top of my shoes, or should they cover most of the heel and therefore 'ruffle' a little on my foot (iyswim)??

Its up to you but generally if wearing heels my jeans are ankle length or turned up slightly shorter, sort of 7/8 length I think its called.

You should never wear skinny jeans over the heels of your shoes. But it can look okay if they sort of bunch up on your ankles a bit, depending on the shoes.

Never over the heels. They should stop at the ankles.

So basically what handmade said.

Agree with the others - I either wear 7/8 with heels, or if wearing full length ones I either tuck them into heeled ankle boots or I let them bunch up a bit.

Great. That's what I thought. However lady in Dorothy Perkins said over the shoes and she looked pretty stylish to me which is what made me wonder!!
