Long legged jeans that don't cost the earth please?

I am on another installment of my year-round quest to find a pair of jeans that fit. I am 5' 9 and seem to need a 34" leg. I don't want anything really low rise, however if they are high waisted they won't fit round the bum so something in between is needed. I would pay ~£30 I suppose if they fitted really, really, well. I don't do the Gap.

Help?????? [beseeching emoticon]

You could try LongTallSally. They don't have a huge selection but what they have is, I find, really well cut for tall-ies (and nice too.)

go to gap
get a grip
(is this an ethical thing? would it make you feel better if I went to the Gap for you and cut the label out and put one in saying Hand Weaved by Happy Lesbians or something? because I will do that. As a friend)

Have you tried Asda? I have a 34' leg too but Im 6ft. I find that they do alot of their trousers in long lengths and they are quite fab! Cheap too, a nice dressy pair of jeans will set you back £20.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAP

cupcakes · 22/02/2006 19:09

The only jeans I can get that fit really well (I'm 5'8) are from River Island. They are fairly low rise, but very flattering.

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2006 19:16

No Gap.

I don't wish to discuss it (HC has me bang to rights as usual)

Asda - hmmmm, interesting.

LTS are pricey, no?

I like New Look jeans, always fit nice and not too pricey and don't cost lots, which means you can trade them in when you get bored/puton or loose weight!

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2006 19:17

And HC why will you not answer your phone?

And Cod I thought you were being nice all week! You are crap, calling me a poof and denying me crisps is a very poor show, I will report you to your challengers

How can it be moral high ground if I don't wish to discuss it, HMMM????

I just said I didn't like Gap. Now go off and bother some baby modellers or something.
