This

And what colour? It's for a wedding. I'd like feathers. What do you think?

Noooooooo to a fascinator. Horrid things.

Lilyloo · 07/06/2012 22:33

What colour are your shoes, bag?

Black?

WipsGlitter · 07/06/2012 22:35

No. Big fat gypsy wedding. I wouldn't wear that dress either to a wedding. Soz.

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 22:43

Shock Oh dear.
So nothing on the hair then??
Shoes cream and red
I love the dress (and i don' have anything else to wear. Is it inappropiate to wear red to a wedding?

Its nice actually. No fascinator or anything, the dress is plenty.

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 22:48

ok ok, I see. Thanks. I'm glad that I came to ask!Blush

The dress is red then? The dress is fine maybe a small cream fascinator / headband with a few feathers?

EnjoyResponsibly · 07/06/2012 22:50

this

WipsGlitter · 07/06/2012 22:50

Red white and blue outfit - jubilee-tastic!

Reds fine for a wedding if you have a different outfit.

I just don't think maxi dresses work at weddings - too close to an evening dress.

EnjoyResponsibly · 07/06/2012 22:51

or this

I like the dress!

WipsGlitter · 07/06/2012 22:51

And looks too much Liverpool wag at Aintree. Sorry.

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 07/06/2012 22:53

The dress is good! I like it.

fascinators are a pet hate around here, don't take offense Grin So yeah, no fascinator. I'm sure we could find you a hat with feathers if you fancy one.

Any chance of a link to the shoes? It could get a bit much if they're eveningy, are they sandaly by any chance?

EnjoyResponsibly · 07/06/2012 22:53

Ag! Is the dress in fact the red option? Actually I still like it, and suggest my second suggestion of Fascinator.

It's green you need to avoid at weddings as it's apparently unlucky.

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 07/06/2012 22:56

(green is only unlucky if you're the bride should you decide to believe in these things)

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 22:59

WipsGlitter, mmmh there's no blue in my outfit. I'm glad that red is fine, I can stick to my gorgeous dress, thanks :o BTW I asked help to find a fascinator not to find a dress.

Thanks, enjoyresponsibly, the second one looks nice

No link to the shoes, they are kind of wedged sandals. I don't take offence about the dislike of fascinators, I have never worn one and thought that this was my opportunity :)

i would do sort of romantic plaits in the hair and have a bit of fancyness with that rather than adding more colour. It'll also soften the look a bit.

JennyPiccolo · 07/06/2012 23:04
maybe like this or plaited at the front with hair down. I'm assuming you have long hair, though.
JennyPiccolo · 07/06/2012 23:04

balls!

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 23:05

What about the hair? Down or low chignon?

OP posts:
ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 23:06

oh, cross post, I'll take a look

OP posts:
LoopyLoopsCorgiPoops · 07/06/2012 23:06

I vote no fascinator

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 23:07

Yes yes! I love it. i'll need to practice it.

ChocFudgeCake · 07/06/2012 23:08

Thanks, Loopyloops. I'm being democratic here for my own good

I wore a really similar dress this week to a wedding and I went to a local florists who put some little blue flowers on a hair comb for me. I knew the bridesmaid was wearing pearl hairpieces and jewellery so it wasn't bridesmaidy. Am a bit sad as i got real flowers and they are all shrivelled up and scabby looking now. But i think flowers in hair must be coming in as there were loads of fake flower hair pieces when i went shopping.
