Is there any way to improve hair growth with diet?

Over the past few years, my hair has thinned quite dramatically to the point where it's thin on top and around the hairline. I've had the usual blood tests which have all come back normal and after paying to see a trichologist, found out that it's sensitivity to androgen or male pattern baldness and is likely to get worse over time. At the moment, I am using fibres to cover up the thin bits but am interested as to what I can eat that might improve the condidtion of what is still growing. Are there any supoplements that might help? The trichologist wanted me to go back to "treatments" and gave me minoxidil but I didn't use it after reading that the side effect could be hair loss!!!!!!Plus she is a two hour round trip away and v expensive!

IIRC Kelp is meant to be very good for hair and nails.

I have been using Sea Kelp tablets for a few months and my hair is revolutionised.
