London - non trashy prom dress shops ideas please

That's it really. Dd2 needs a dress for a Y11 prom. She wants long but not too twinkly and polyester. I'm thinking she won't wear it too much, but she wants to avoid high street (Topshop etc) so no-one else has the same. Dd1 sorted for Y13 at Vivien of Holloway but dd2 is a bit softer/blonder. Size 8-10 so regular fitting.

Are there any shops in London/SE of London you can recommend as a starting point? Preferably with loads of dresses. Or has anyone bought successfully online?

PS too much would be over £150 though the cheaper the better!!

Thanks.

Coast? Ted Baker?

We got dd1's from a place just off Carnaby Street called 'Traffic People' - it was silk and really lovely and a bargain in their sale - but short. Might be worth a look in case they also do long ones?

Too 'hippyish' perhaps I think it's v pretty - and it's silk!

When we bought dds they had far more just plain, classic silk ones - they seem to have gone a bit 'Frilly' now though! :)
