give me your best tips on getting rid of water retention

I have a wedding on Saturday and I will be very pre-menstrual and have massive bloat

I have gone wheat and sugar free. Drinking lots of water doesn't seem to help that much, I just retain all the extra too!

Do any of those herbal remedies actually work?

Thanks

I'm afraid that water is the answer

Fennel tea and, if you can afford it, manual lymphatic drainage. I had it before my wedding and everyone thought I'd lost loads of weight, but I hadn't at all. Lovely treatment :-)

Goosegrass is also a diuretic - look online for a recipe, cos i'm not sure if it'd'be a tea, a tisane or a tincture. Hth

And you'll prob have a vile head from carb/sugar withdrawal so neck paracetamol as and when. With water, natch.

Go to sainsburys pharmacy and ask for a box of epsom salts to bathe in.

Tip loads into a bath each night between now and the wedding and you'll pee it all away :o

Any chemist should sell them.

I always take those herbal tablets in the blue and yellow box - HRI I think they are called when I fly and they stop awful puffy feet caused by fluid. Also used them before a night out and they definitely help. Start taking them ASAP if night out is Saturday and you will see an improvement.

can't find anyone nearby that does manual lymphatic drainage, but have found a large supply of goosegrass in the garden Grin
