Need to smarten up a bit - any clothing brand recommendations please?

Still dressing in the same way as I did when a student - a bit scruffy and very casual. I would really like to smarten up a bit but struggling to find new brands that would suit. Beginning to feel a bit 'old' when I go into the shops I used to buy from! I'm just looking for simple but good quality every day clothes - nothing too fussy/ dressy. Any ideas? Thank you!

make an appointment with a debenhams personal shopper and tell them what you want? There's no obligation to buy and it could help give you ideas of what suits you etc.
