Saltwater sandals are amazing!

bought some v expensive fitflops the other day, sent them back because they just weren't very nice, then (eventually) found somewhere with Saltwater sandals still in stock (they have sold out more or less at Toast).

Lovely lovely shop in Cambridge called Cuckoo. I think they will post things out if you ring. Anyway, they were so nice, I put my (old) fitflops in their carrier bag, and wore the new sandals for the rest of a v v long and walking filled day. Feet normally really sore after a day in that city - not usually a good idea to wear new shoes and then walk miles. But - none of that happened yesterday! They are miraculous. Plus they look really nice - so i am recommending them to Mumsnet.

Sizing is a bit weird btw - v small. They have lots of really lovely colours and are a v reasonable price.

I love mine too, they are amazing. The soles are a bit hard and flat compared to my last pair of (birkie style) sandals, but they are very lovely.

MissFoodie · 31/05/2012 11:41

they're lovely but I want the thong.......which of course is not stocked in the UK..........so annoying

faustina · 31/05/2012 13:46

I don't find the sole TOO hard and flat - not like some of the other flats I've tried.

Missfoodie - I was looking this morning at this site, because I want another colour now - and they say they will ship to the UK. they seem to have the thongs

any advice on sizing? I'm 41/42 normally, and I can't get my head round the American sizes. can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that sells them in my size either..

MissFoodie · 31/05/2012 14:10

ooooooooooh thanks faustina, will check it out :)

faustina · 31/05/2012 14:14

they are really tiny! i am normally a size 6/39, and I bought a 7

yes but a US 7 is not the same as a UK 7 :)
I'm a UK 7 and think I'm a US 10

faustina · 31/05/2012 14:46

i meant I bought a uk7, and I think that's a US 9. Inside the heel strap of my shoes, it says 7W9

aaah ok, well, if they come up small then I hope they have something bigger than a 7.....!

MissFoodie · 01/06/2012 10:33

fyi I just ordered a pair, including delivery to London they're 55 USD or £36,
if I don't get any customs charges then they're a bargain!!!!!!

I'm a uk7/40, so a 10 in US size

faustina · 01/06/2012 10:36

that is a definite bargain! Let me know if it works, and how they fit - good luck!
