Best lightweight waterproof anorak for DDs?

I'm looking for a very lightweight anorak for my DDs. Something that can be worn in 30+ degree heat (when the rain is hammering down!) and is completely waterproof, preferably without making them get sweaty inside. Pack away is a plus but not a necessity!

Thanks for any recommendations!

I think you need something made from Goretex or similar, as it is breathable as well as waterproof. Berghaus is a good brand to go for. We all have one and they've never let us down yet!

I'd agree if you can afford them. The cheap ones are sweaty and horrible. Something in between might be regatta packables?

Thanks - think goretex might be a bit cost prohibitive considering they are only 5 and growing like weeds. Will check out regatta though.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, do you know if the pacamac's are waterproof?

Well my niece has the joules one and that definitely is waterproof and the petit bateau one definitely is too. I am sure that the others would be also but to make sure you could contact John Lewis and ask - they are very good with their customer service.
