What would I wear on my bottom half?

I saw this top today and I'm quite taken with it (I need something to wear for a graduation ceremony) but what do I wear on the bottom?

I'm not sure about trousers as it finishes mid-belly and I'm about as far from sylphlike as you can get, so I though a skirt would look better. I wouldn't want a tight clingy one though, so would it work with a floatier one? And if so does anyone have any ideas of one that would work. It needs to be a plus size one though.

Hmm, and I would have put it with a structured, office type skirt, but as you'd prefer floaty, Ill look for something that might go.

I like office type skirts fine - just not on me... They accentuate all the bits I don't like, lol.

I just really liked it, I was standing stroking it all wistfully, but didn't buy it because I couldn't work out what I could wear it with that I'd not look terrible in.

I saw the pleated skirt when I looked for the link, I'm not sure though if the long skirt is a bit much for a graduation?

Oooh, I like Cocolepews. Evans have a really nice electric blue wrap skirt, if you wanted a contrasting colour.

I'm rubbish at fashionny stuff, I can do wedding type dressy or well a bit slutty, lol, for nights out and my usual - ooh look its clean so I threw it on, but I struggle a bit with smart but not to ott.

I wore black trousers and a shirt to my graduation. You will be wearing a gown anyway so tbh it doesn't really matter. I'd wear them together.

There was a girl that graduated with me that wore white linen trousers and flip flops! Now she was underdressed.
