Pedicure etiquette

I'm having my first pedicure tomorrow. I know that I have to wear flip flops and obviously my feet will be clean and not smelly or anything but is there anything else I should do to 'prep' them? Thanks. :)

Gosh yes, direct link between vaginal health and dry skin on feet. Hmm

polyhymnia · 26/05/2012 15:44

Can't get the reference to vaginas out of my mind.

For rough, hard skin on feet I've found regular filing and daily rich application of moisturiser are needed. Unless I've missed some dicovery, wouldn't think either of those would be good for vaginas!

BarefootShirl · 26/05/2012 15:52

I agree with Chipping - provided feet are not smelly then the rest is doing to the pedicurist.

Have never get the need to get my vagina professionally manicured tho Grin

Lynette's comment was a JOKE.do you have to put pointers now ?

Bonsoir · 26/05/2012 16:28

Why would you shave your toes before going for a pedicure Hmm? The beautician will wax your toes and feet during the pedicure.

lumbago · 26/05/2012 16:34

ive never had waxed toes
mind you mine are done brusquley by a Vietamese woman

LynetteScavo · 26/05/2012 18:53

Ha, ha, you lot are hilarious! (Have you not read all the numerous studies on the link between crusty heels and crust fanjos?)* Grin

Bonsoir, around here they charge separately for toe waxing. You are getting a bargain!

*There are no studies (as far as I'm aware). I was joking.

wellwisher · 26/05/2012 18:53

It's worth taking your own nail varnish with you and asking them to use that so that if you chip a nail, or mess them up on the way home like I always do you can fix it and extend the life of the pedicure!

SauvignonBlanche · 26/05/2012 18:56

Should I be using my pedegg on my fanjo now? Confused

valiumredhead · 26/05/2012 20:04

The whole point is that THEY will remove hard skin and take off old polish!

ListenToYourHeart · 26/05/2012 20:14

I'm a training therapist and we don't expect you to do any prep on your feet before you come in :)
However it is nice if you give them a quick wipe over with a wipe or something before you come in especially if it's a hot sweaty day!

somethingscary · 26/05/2012 20:25

But the first thing I always do is put my feet straight in a footbath. And they take the old nail varnish off.

BIWItheBold · 26/05/2012 20:29

I will remember to make my vag extra sparkly next time ... Grin
