Talk to me about undereye concealers

I went into Debenhams today fully prepared to spend my £10 worth of beauty card points on a concealer for my horrible dark undereyes. I tried a Bobbi Brown one, but you need to buy two different products totalling £40, and even with £10 off (which turned out to be £5 but never mind) I didn't want to spend that much. Also, it was a corrector cream, then a separate concealer and powder compact. Surely you shouldn't need 3 things to make dark eyes go away?

I have bought a Collection 2000 one and am going to place an order to ELF for a colour corrector palette as it has the yellow powder like the BB one, but I thought I ask you all here first.

If it's to get rid of dark circles then you need Lily Lolo Peepo concealor - amazing stuff.

Lol flowery! Is it definitely worth the £££ then? I mean, I'm no stranger to wasting spending lots of money on high end make up, but I can't help but think there simply must be something out there that does the same thing but cheaper!

Does the Lily Lolo one go over a regular liquid foundation? My face doesn't get on with mineral powder foundation.

I was a total YSL Touche Eclat fan until I saw my friend looking flipping fantastic, enquired as to her fantasticness and she informed me she was wearing an Aldi Lacura version. I went, I purchased (for less than £4) and it is just incredible. I have also since received enquiries as to my yoof-fullness and passed on the word. The consistency is great, same clicky pen mechanism and it really does do a fab job. (but you'd have to spend your points on something else

Aldi you say? Hmmmmm. I will take a stroll up there tomorrow!

I have tried Touche Eclat and to be honest it didn't do a lot for me. I felt conned, conned I tells ya! I used to use the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse concealer but they discontinued it! How very dare they!

Not sure why you need all that bobbi brown stuff ! I have just one product of theirs in a small pot with a mirror costs about £20 lasts a year or so and is nothing short of miraculous - maybe go to a different bobbi brown counter ?

i use the garnier one. I find it gives better coverage than Touche Eclat.

Benefit's Boing Boing concealer is fab.

Touche Eclat gave me terrible eczema under my eyes!

I used the Garnier tinted caffeine roll-on and it's brilliant - gets rids of the circles at the same time that it covers them up.

I reckon it's totally worth the money, yes. I was using the Garnier one, it was fine, but the colour was a bit wrong as I am like death warmed up. Once the Bobbi Brown lady in John Lewis had applied their stuff I couldn't believe the difference tbh.

Touche Eclat is a highlighter, not a concealer.

I second Peepo but again dunno about over liq foundation.

I rave about By Terry Touche Veloute, ££ but OMG amazing velvety texture that is somehow powerful enough to cover my shading but fine enough to look natural. It's sinister, really :)

Touche eclat is partly designed for dark circles, because the leaflet in the box shows you how to apply it to make them appear less dark. True it's not a concealer in the sense that you don't want to cover blemishes with it, but it is designed with the eye area in mind.

The Bobbi Brown duo is super. I've only recently started using this, and I think it cost £20 - 30.

I don't bother with Touche Eclat anymore.

I might just splash out on the BB one then - just the one with the powder as well. Pretty sure I can dupe the other one.

My favourites are Benefit Erase Paste (which I use under foundation, similar to the Bobbi Brown corrector) and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer or Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer on top.

I bought all the bobby brown stuff and find it rubbish tbh. maybe i'll try again though as you all reckon it's good

The BB corrector is good but I find the concealer too heavy for undereye but great elsewhere.

Benefit erase paste is OK.

I cover mine with corrector, apply foundation then if they still show, apply a bit of Mac Moisture Surge concealer which is quite light but doesn't dry out.

The next product in the never ending search for a really good under eye concealer is the By Terry one,

Too much yellow in bobbi browns concealer imo- plus it settled into the lines in a horrible way. In fact, it showed up lines I never knew I had!

Used touché éclat for donkeys and still do- but agree with Pinot, it's primarily a highlighted and it a bit of a con to say it's an under-eye concealer. It took me years to work that out and i persevered for yonks.

I've since discover benefit Erase Paste. Tiny pot, loads of product and brilliant at hiding circles- love it! ( I just set it with a bit of my mac skin finish powder that I wear for my face anyway- no need to fab with separate setting/finishing powder)

BB concealer does cake horribly especially in lines.

Another vote for Benefit Boing. Great coverage for dark circles.

Not keen on the Benefit Erase Paste though. May be that I've not got the right shade though as it seems a bit orange on me.

Benefit's Boing is the best I have come across and I buy mine very cheaply on ebay as it has probably been shoplifted

I love the By Terry one. I tend to use Laura Mercier concealer whenever I'm not using mineral foundation with a light pat of By Terry on top. Both are very good and make me look far more awake.
