Ok so i do have major body issues anyway always have, i have 2 children one 7 months so body at its worst anyway i havnt bought new clothes in 5 years and live in trainers and jeans i know nothing of fashion but i so want that to change, im devestated that pregnancy has left me with wide stretch marks down thighs to mid calf! and varicose veins in same places my legs need to be covered all the time so im sweltering in this heat in bootcut jeans :( on top of that i have horrid feet and have never shown them, i have massive veins on top that stick out more in the heat and long toes with wide spaces between i cant wear flip flops, sandals etc even if i wanted to because they spill over :( the funny thing is i love the sun it really lifts my mood but i just cant enjoy it because im so hot and covered up i feel like im the only one in the world like this

No they all fit ok - my toes aren't hanging over the edges! I do have size 8 feet so maybe that is why.

when you say your feet were coming off the edges where do you mean? your toes? or the sides of your feet.

both can be sorted simply by finding a longer/wider pair surely?

lattelov3r · 28/05/2012 12:39

bit of both but its the end toes sort of like my foots to wide for the shoe but strangely i dont have wide feet at any other time in fact i accidentally bought a pair of wide fit boots once and they were massive i will definatly keep trying ballet flats etc though as i did feel more summary than trainers, my legs are the bit that really gets me down tbh i tried on shorts today took a look in the mirror from behind an quickly changed again! i think they are varicose veins rather than spider etc from looking at google im going to buy a gradual tanner tonight but not holding out much hope

Skirts look nicer than shorts, imo, and are more forgiving. Maxi skirt sounds ideal for you while you get some confidence back.

I second and third everyone who says no one cares about your feet. I think my feet look nice (I don't say this about many parts of my body!) but people aren't running up to tell me how lovely they are. Grin I never notice feet unless there's a nice nail polish on them.

hideous as shoe shopping can be I think the answer is to just spend a morning trying EVERYTHING on lol
there has got to be something that's the right shape for your foot, it's just a matter of finding it.
and when you do find it buy 2 pairs Grin

leggings would be cooler than jeans in this weather, fitflops have wided straps so cover a good part of your foot, paint your toe nails. When you are at home get your legs and feet out and sit in the garden they will soon get a bit of colour. If you're not sure about an outfit wear it out for a short time say to the corner shop, then round the supermarket and then for the whole day, i did this with a pair of shorts and now i'm wearing them all day and feel confident, as no one pointed and laughed when i first wore them i got braver.

lovely maxi skirt and would hold in your tummy too. I would wear it with a short sleeved fitted black or white tshirt, and sunnies. Sorted :-)

lovely dress, can pull in waist tie to define your waist. I'd wear with chunky colourful necklace, like this
