Growing out blonde hair colour

Due at hairdressers next week for roots to be done and am thinking about going back to blonde highlights. Is this possible and how long does it take for colour to grow out. My hair at the moment is in a bob style.

Talk to your hairdresser ou don't have to grow it out you can have a colour out through it to knock back the blonde and then high lights as well. A good colourist will advise you :)

Thanks Valiumredhead would you know what colour can be put through- I love being blonde so would like to keep it blonde - have always had bleach highlights but decided last year to go for a full head of blonde but it goes more of a golden colour and I prefer the paler blonde you get - hence my decision to try to back to bleach highlights only. Plus am fed up of dark roots !

You can cover up with any semi permanent colour as it just sits on top of the hair. Make sure you have time to have a proper consultation with your hairdresser before hand.
