embelishing evening dress - help

Spuddybean · 24/05/2012 18:23

I am going to a posh evening do in June and have to wear a full length dress. I am going to be 30wks pregnant - so rather large and unable to fit in anything i own. I also don't want to spend hundreds on a dress i will never wear again.

So i have seen a size 18 long black dress in New look for £20, and thought i might add some embelishments to zazz it up a bit...and distract from the bump.

Does anyone have any good tips on how to do this or where to get stuff from?

Ta :)

These guys are the bomb for haberdashery

Maybe get ideas from there then head to eBay for much cheaper versions!

Glitter addict reporting for duty, agree that Maculloch and whatsit are fabulous, slightly cheaper is www.josyrose.com/ and then of course there's these lot www.crystal-clover.com/ ( both are a bit like crack for me, I've had to link without going into the sites otherwise my postman would be staggering under the weight of bugle beads and diamanté. Again ).
