Another wedding one (sorry) - weather-related dilemma

Going to a wedding at the weekend, sorted outfit a couple of weeks ago (structured floral dress, jacket, tights, court shoes, pillbox hat). Done. Perfect for a typical May day.

Except now the weather is hot all of a sudden! I'm going to swelter in tights and court shoes! But I don't want to go bare-legged.

I have a new maxi dress in a similar pattern/colours to the original outfit. Could use accessories from the first outfit with wedges or gladiator sandals. Add a wrap or light cardigan. Probably ditch the hat for a hair clip or hair band.

WWYD in this weather?

I'd swap to the maxi.

keep your options open until the night before!

it depends where in the country you are, in the east it's not going to be that warm, there's a fairly strong easterly wind. That said, I would be tempted to slap on some fake tan and some Sally Hansen leg make up and go with the same outfit, but I'm lazy :

Thanks for the answers! South West. Think I have decided to take both outfits, as the maxi will be useful to have even if not used, travel casual, and then I can decide last-minute. Yes, I'll be changing in the service station toilets, v glam!

I might even ask DH for his opinion Shock.

I tend to get very sweaty as I am still bf'ing and will be further accessorising with a 9mo farking hot baby DS and his nappy bag. Leaning towards the maxi dress at the moment as I am melting in the heat.

Am vvvvvv pale-skinned, fake tan always a disaster on me. Have tried a salon spray-tan and it just looked comical. The addition of post-DC thread veins 'n' shin bruises (DS is lethal in his walker) doesn't enhance the effect! But I do have a good gel pedicure so am happy to flash the toes in some sandals. Have today, the idea of dodging heels in some gladiator sandals does appeal!
