Glossybox warning spoiler on mays box

Well GlossyBox that's it you've sealed your own fate. I held on for the birthday box but a couple of perfume samples that I could get free from the perfume counter, some gold glittery eye lashes valued at £3 and a crappy mirror is not enough to me to continue paying you £13 a month. Oh and adding a pink balloon doesn't make it better value - that is all rant over Grin

I had a quick look on their facebook page earlier and everyone on there was having a moan about how crap it is this month. Haven't got mine yet which is good I suppose, because I'm not expecting much now.

I'm really not impressed with mine this time! I've given the lashes and mirror to my 11 year old DD! Oh and the balloon.

The perfume is nice, but as you say, you could get it yourself. I also got some shower gel that's nothing special and a sachet of face mask. Oh and yet more Argan oil for my hair! It's a shame as I've been pretty happy so far, apart from the Harrods box that was a bit of a let down :(

I've had 4 boxes, 2 have been good and 2 not so good. For £13 I need it to be good every month. I've cancelled and I'm just going to buy myself a different product every month. A shame because I love the excitement of getting a parcel in the post.

Oh no how did I miss this, mine arrived today.

My lashes weren't glittery, but they're certainly not subtle either.

The perfumes weren't my taste at all, I gave them to dd along with the rose moisturiser. I did like the hedgerow shower gel, and the hair product might be ok. Not worth £13, however.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/05/2012 21:08

But for it to make them any profit at all the products cant cost more than about £6 can they?

BobbiFleckman · 24/05/2012 21:15

it was my first, courtesy of the MN discount voucher. It was rubbish. I thought the principle was luxury brands / new things. The vile Lolita Lempicka perfume has been around since the start of time and doesn't get any more subtle, the shower gel was like a cheap hotel freebie and I'm not even sure what the teeny tiny Weleda sample is (all text in german) but it's so tiny it should be face something. Then a couple of make up things - an eyebrow conditioner and a little gel eyeliner - full price of each less than a fiver so small samples really not too impressive (will swap for face mask and argan oil for hair though!)

Well mine was ok though I did not get any make up. I got the shower gel,eye serum, perfume, face mask and mirror and hair oil.
