I was in M&S today and spotted this beautiful coat - now normally I wouldnt go for such an impractical colour but its so nice and a kind lady said it looked lovely with my colouring and I need an incentive to drop another stone so I can get into the next size down.

So, style gurus, I have dark brown shoulder length hair and blue eyes (irish colouring) - what d you think?

Oh I absolutely love it and will dig out my white heavy linen trench coat once I get myself organised and the weather turns!

GDG · 18/02/2006 23:40

It's lovely - go for it - would loook lovely on you!

moondog · 18/02/2006 23:43

Nice
Classic and a good price
A bugger to keep clean though

MrsBadger · 18/02/2006 23:43

it does go in the washing machine (which always helps), and it certainly does look very glamourous!
Not convinced re the concept of a white mac - I couldn't pull it off in a million years - but if it suits you and works with your current wardrobe, def worth considering!

Love it - especially the off centre buttons - nice detail

mancmum · 19/02/2006 18:00

I have a white mac they are quite draining to wear colourwise not weightwise! If you have pale Irish skin as I have, you might look very washed out unless you are good with accessories etc..

Twiglett · 19/02/2006 18:02

its nice .. but isn't it a little 'on style' at the moment .. ie you would look out of place next season wearing it

oh and DD (21 months) has one quite similar

expatinscotland · 19/02/2006 18:02

it looks like a lab coat.

doormat · 19/02/2006 18:03

would go nice with my white knee high boots

noddyholder · 19/02/2006 18:05

lovely!

FrannyandZooey · 19/02/2006 18:05

Oh, so chic! If it looks good on you then go for it.

might be a bit 'fashiony'. I would go for something more classic (and long lasting). Love the idea of a trench coat though.

I can only arse kiss on one thread at a time, I don't want to spread myself too thin...

it's too erm well white - think you'd have to have olivey/dark skin to carry it off, rather than look washed out in it.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 19/02/2006 19:15

Having met you Jampots, I think it would look lovely on you

it looked pretty fab on erin o'conner on the tv ads last night.
