I'm a leaky-eyed contacts wearer, prone to very dry swollen eyes if anything disagrees with me, and I use Max Factor False Lash Effect (the waterproof one, which is SUPER waterproof as a bonus).

Blinc is good as it doesn't 'bleed' into your eyes - it sets into a kind of rubbery coating on the lashes (more flattering that it sounds!), which slides off as little tubes when you remove make-up.

On the whole it stays put pretty well, so you don't get the fibrous shedding like you do with the lash-build type ones.

Another recommendation for blinc. Wonderful stuff. No panda eyes. Ever. Easy to take off. If you google them you cancordercacsample for £2.50 or so, and you get a voucher for that amount off if you buy the full size. It gives you the chance to see if it will work for you.

I wear contacts and have v sensitive eyes and Clinique BURNS my eyes. It is the only brand I truly cannot wear and I know a few others have said the same thing. The Max factor one is quite good. Agree about the eye makeup remover - if I don't remove properly I have terrible sore puffy eyes the next day. An expert told me to make sure you hold the cotton pad with remover on your eyelids for at least 5 seconds to dissolve before wiping.

Thanks all. I have tried Clinique but it seems to flake a lot, and doesnt actually do alot for my lashes either. Love the idea of getting a few samples of your recommendations, nothing worse than buying something expensive for it not to be what you need....

I also recommend Blinc - you can buy it off Amazon. I also like Bare Escentuals Volume Mascara & there'll be no flakiness - even after a 14 hour day!

I'm also a contact lenses wearer and I can use any mascara but only for a short time. After a few weeks my eyes start to water and go red. So I try to get as many samples as I can and change often.
