These shoes with this dress?

Going to a wedding in a few weeks.

I have this dress and I really like it. I am quite short so the dress is longer on me than in the picture. The flowers on the hem are sort of satiny so I was thinking of these shoes - the pale part of the flowers is sort of coral and I thought it might make the outfit a bit more summery.

I have wide feet so shoe shopping is a bit of a nightmare.

What do you think?

Its a lovely dress - the shoes should go well but these are a bit too fussy for my taste but that's me.

Thanks. Yes, the shoes are quite dressy - very different to my usual taste but the invitation we got is for dinner, drinks and dancing and the venue looks lovely so want to glam up a bit.

I'm open to suggestions on the shoes but anything I buy would have to be wide fit if I am to have a chance of squeezing into them.

Mmm, nice dress, nice shoes but not sure the colour works TBH. THe same shoes come in gold which is also in the dress. Maybe worth considering those?

Or how about these also newlook, gold, wide fit or still coral but more like the the shade in the dress - next wide fit?

I bought the ones I linked to before I saw I had more replies. I hate buying shoes so just decided to go for it.

Procrastination Do you think they are too pale? The are some paleish shades in the coral flowers. FIngers crossed.

Oh, hell, sorry. Don't have a crisis on my say so.

But, seeing as you asked, yeah, they are too pale really. the paler shade of coral (as well as the paler pink, the brown and the lime) in the dress doesn't really stand out enough to pick for shoes - it'd be ok if the print was eye level but being on the hem anyone looking at you gets more and impression of the flowers rather than actually seeing them IYSWIM.

If it wern't for the sweet little flowers on the shoe you could just about get away with it, but the silver is making them into a rather cool colour.

Either the next coral ones which are a warmer colour are a tenner cheaper or the newlook gold version of the ones you've ordered (which I now see I failed to link to before - here) would be loads better.

Quick update - I got the shoes. They are darker than they appear in the photo so they are a good match for the flowers in the dress.

Now having second thoughts about the dress though....

I'm thinking of having the sleeves shortened to 3/4 length. I prefer them than length on me as it is more flattering.

Any opinions on the dress or suggested alternatives?

I'm an 16-18 (working on the weight loss) but only 5'2.
