Long body swimming costume?

I'm nearly 6ft but my height's all in my body (short legs) and most normal swimsuits cut me in half! I'm a size 18 and not fond of tankinis. M&S used to do a few but the selection is v limited and pretty minging, tbh. Any ideas where else to look?

Long tall Sally, maybe Dorothy Perkins tall or new look tall.

ASByatt · 20/05/2012 14:30

Hmm I have similar issues - you could try Long Tall Sally, although if their range is anything like the rest of their stuff at the moment...........

BikeRunSki · 20/05/2012 14:33

I think Lands End do a long body swimsuit .

GobblersKnob · 20/05/2012 14:39

I am also very long in the body and was not a fan of tankinis until I discovered Freya's.

They are fab, really long, so although it is a two piece there is never a gap.

QueenCadbury · 20/05/2012 15:31

Zoggs do one. Bhs also used to but I couldn't find one last time I looked.

exexpat · 20/05/2012 15:31

I was going to say Lands End too.

ASByatt · 20/05/2012 17:12

If you look on Figleaves' website they have a few by Seaspray plus 1 by Zoggs. Prices vary hugely! Good luck.

mistressploppy · 20/05/2012 20:03

Thanks everyone. I've ordered a Land's End one.

I find the Boden costumes come up long and I am ample in the middle.....

mistressploppy · 20/05/2012 20:20

I had a Boden costume last, Rosa, it was gorge but I think I swam too much for it...it disintegrated...

Oh bugg*r I have that to look forward to then!!!!!!

BikeRunSki · 21/05/2012 08:06

You won't regret it mistressploppy. They are brilliant quality - mine is about 4 years old and stretched to about 6 months pg and pinged back twice!

HelenofSparta · 22/05/2012 21:16

Misstressploppy - which one did you order and was it any good? Spent a good hr trailing around/trying on costumes waaaay to short in the body this weekend and need help!!

CanISawItOff · 22/05/2012 21:50

I have the double whammy of huge knockers and a long body and find that tankini's are the only thing I can wear for swimming. Bonus of that is I can wear shorts rather than briefs too.

Try some of the surf brands.

BettyBathroom · 23/05/2012 07:22

I have bought Lands End in the past - good quality but a bit safe - this time I went for Seafolly Sophia - it's the loveliest swim suit I have even owned. I am tall and curvy and would judge my body to be longer than average.

mistressploppy · 24/05/2012 20:18

I've just received my cossie from Land's End - I bought this one - it is lovely; good quality material, fits really well, comfy wide straps, boob-holders in the right place etc. Very pleased.

I have a long body and last year I bought a couple of swimsuits from Laura Ashley that fitted really well!
