It didn't make sense for me until I put my make up on over the top, it gives a nice dewy base. I'm not entirely sure I'd buy it again though, its good but its not amazing.

Nothing ime, it's shite Grin

It's lovely, I've used it for years. I've found I have to rush and put make-up on after application as it can turn an odd texture, if that makes sense.

I liked it on its own, but in trying to add foundation, it kind of rolled up into "peeling skin". I'd then spend all day, picking bits of my face. Not good.

I binned mine 2/3 full and bought a good primer.

KateSpade · 20/05/2012 19:25

I like it as a make-up base if i want my make-up to stay on hours, or i use it as like a case masque sometimes which is amazing.

I have lost mine though, and am not buying a new one until i have found the damn thing!

I wasn't impressed really for the price, didn't notice any amazing difference to my skin. And second the comments about it making your foundation go funny and 'peely'.

midori1999 · 20/05/2012 21:04

I got some as a free sample with some products. Have used it as a mask as the Clarins lady suggested and my skin feels like shite tbh. Really impressed with their other products though.

Oh I like it, it somehow makes my skin look brighter and more glowy! Though it can be a bit shiny too so needs some powder or something over the top for best results. I am quite pale naturally, and don't like wearing foundation (tinted moisturiser at most) so maybe that's why I notice the effects more? Reminds me that I need to get some more...

ToastedTeacakes · 20/05/2012 21:15

Not sure what it is, for me.
It certainly makes the surface of my skin look smoother, more moisturised. No tightness or firming though. I wear it with Clarins Instant Smooth, which really seems to enhance it for me. Everyone's skin is so different though, I imagine it won't please everybody.

In all honesty, on a bad day, nothing helps except perhaps chocolate and distraction.

It's a wonderful primer if used correctly!

Cleanse, tone, moisturise. Apply a thin layer of Beauty Flash Balm and whilst still moist, apply foundation and concealer. It's magical in that in makes your foundation appear flawless, skin dewy and has a brightening effect.

Most people run into problems when they don't apply their foundation whilst the BFB is still moist - that's key. If you apply too much, you will get a crusty/ skin peeling effect.

Go to the Clarins counter and get them to apply it followed by foundation/ light make up. Take a pot so you can do it yourself before making an investment.

itdidntworkout · 20/05/2012 21:20

when I say take a pot, I mean so they can put some in it for you to take home.
