If I use a home Brazilian Keratin kit on Thursday night...

What state will my hair be in on Sunday?

I normally wash my hair every day as the roots get greasy if left longer. I was thinking of using this on Thursday evening but have to serve charity teas on Sunday afternoon before washing it out that evening. Would dry shampoo help (never tried it before, remember using talc for this as a teenager though Blush). I would really like to try this before going camping at half term, hence my desperation to do it this weekend despite being busy!

Lots of people seem to have used them with good results so any advice very gratefully received.

sorry, they are rubbish. The home kits take forever to do, the effects don't last and they wreck your hair. I'd look out for a groupon for a salon job, or get some rechargeable straighteners.

Agree with Bonzo - biggest waste of £12 and 5 hours I've ever spent!

I bought one from supermarket, had lank greasy (but straightish!) hair for 3 days, but as soon as I washed it.... boing! Curls were back. Mine's not even especially curly, more of a wave really, but this stuff was useless.

I used the same kit as you are going to use, in mid-March, and my long hair still looks and feels great. I left it on for four days, I would never go that long without washing my hair normally but it looked fine so I went to work with it in.
Be sure to dry your hair in a ventilated area because the fumes do tend to catch in the back of your throat.
Will be doing mine again in 4/6 weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not expecting dead straight hair with the kit, but hoping it will be in better condition and easier to manage. I'm just really worried about the state my hair will be in by Sunday, no one will want to buy a cream tea from someone with really greasy hair!

I've looked up the ingredients for Batiste dry shampoo and it doesn?t contain salt so I'm thinking it may be possible to use this while the Keratin is still on my hair. Has anyone tried this?

I used this and used dry shampoo it was fine. I really like this and my hair takes a lot less straightening and doesn't frizz in the rain.

Thanks redglow, I'm going to order the kit next and will go to Boots for dry shampoo on my day off on Friday.

Better find the scone recipe out as well, haven't been told how many I need to bake yet!
