Please help me! (hair dye related)

Hello, I am in need of some advice please!

I have been dying my hair blonde for years (was naturally blonde until teens). Today I, on impulse, decided to dye my hair a light auburn colour, using nice and easy foam (!). It has actually taken ok- it isn't auburn though, more ginger but it does actually suit my skin tone and eyes (greeny grey). However- I have managed to miss some of the hair and I'm not 100% happy with the colour- I feel it needs 'more' somehow. And I'm not fully sure....

So, I am thinking of options:

A. use another red to brighten it/change tone- however I am scared of doing this! Would it even work? I have also just read that red hair needs a lot to maintain?

B. strip back with Boots B4 Colour (have read about this on here) and dye back to my usual blonde, or a different shade of blonde

C. Just put an ash blonde on top of this ginger? (I have read the B4 colour sometimes leaves hair ginger anyway, so would it make any difference?

Also, if I used another red and hated it, if I then used B4 Colour would it just take me back to this ginger and not blonde?

Please help me?!!

Smile

As I understand it, colour b4 takes you back to your lightest colour - so blonde. If you feel you need more colour, why not put a semi in? Don't go too dark though...

Thanks Iatemyskinnyperson. I've just had a good look at my hair in the daylight (dyed my hair early evening) and, although I applied it all over it literally has left most of my hair underneth blonde- (I have thick hair) in fact, it's on the very top layer of hair that is, how it looks this morning, quite orange!

I'm not sure why but I've had problems with dyes sticking since having my children- it's like my hair has changed- my hair was between golden blonde with a bit of bronze before dying it as dyes just don't seem to stick anymore Confused Hair is thick and seems to be in good conition though.

Hmm.... so colour B4 is the way to go? I couldn't just stick Ash blonde?

I'd say colour b4. I havnt used it myself, but have read good reviews. Putting Ash on top won't take out the red,

Well I used colour b4 and it worked! It took me back to a lighter blonde (looks better than before I dyed it red actually). It's amazing stuff! My hair does feel dry from all the rinsing though but going to put a conditioning treatment on.

Good stuff! I'd live to try it, have years of dye on my hair. Can't do 2 weeks without dying though... Too grey.
