Hiking trousers that aren't too short and completely shapeless!

Do they exist?! I'm 5' 11'' and all the majority of the ones i've tried have been ankle flappers. Some do have longer lengths but alhtough the length is then ok, they are just horrible and shapeless. I know it's not walking along a catwalk i want them for but it's still nice to feel like you don't look like a sack of potatoes. I want them for a trip where i will also be socialising, nowhere fancy but need them to look ok for pubs etc.

Any able to recommend some?

Craghoppers do differing leg legnths, long was enormous on me....but I didn't really like them style wise...too blurgh for me. Am on the hunt 4 some, lined ones though so maybe it was the extra layer that was unflattering and normal weight ones will be ok.

Both Berghaus and The North Face do long leg lengths as well, and have quite wide product ranges.

However, I think that if you want trousers that'll look okay in the pub then Craghoppers are a better bet. I have some with a bit of stretch and no thigh pockets - think they're the Stretch Kiwi.

Hettie - blurgh is the perfect word for describing how they look!

Abzs - I have seen the stretch kiwi on websites so may give them a go.

Thanks both. If i find any decent ones will report back!!

Not sure about the length, but I have two pairs of ACG walking trousers which are brilliant, and fine for the pub afterwards too. ACG is the outdoor arm of Nike, I had never heard of them, but their womens walking trousers are the best slim fitting style I have seen.

My favourite Hiking pants are made by Mountain Equipment. I have the Men's Ibex, and love them as they fit really well across the bum - I have baggy pants! They do them in different leg lengths too.
