I have a wedding in a few weeks and will have both dc with me so will need to be able to pick them up etc (ds not walking) but still want to look nice!

I found this dress in a local shop Www.bettiepageclothing.com/dresses/alika-circle-green.

Do you like it? I am 5'4, 12 /10ish size and very hourglass. I think it could look quite glam and different but a little worried re colour. I am auburn in colour so do suit green... Prob wouldn't wear the underskirt as think bit old now!!

Any input appreciated. DH says he likes it but caveats his input as not "being a girl"!

I really like it, but would wear the petticoat with it (doesn't have to be visible like the picture shows, get one that is shorter than the dress but you do need the pouff effect IMO).

Thanks emsyj! I want the underskirt really too but DH thinks too bulky with. Am going to maybe try both on at home with heels and see how it looks. the shop is tiny so no real changing room and v difficult to get a proper idea.

colour is lovely, but i would wear an underskirt that gives that look but not with that frill.

I def won't have a under skirt that shows. Any idea guru's as to accessories??

I love the Bettie Page dresses, I think it would look lovely for a wedding.

i would deffo wear the sweetest little diamond type studs, then you can go for any colour bag and shoes. i wouldn't go for pearls as i think it would be too 'dated' iyswim.

debenhams always have lovely pretty diamond type earrings, can't remember the concession.

I would wear a gaudy plastic bead necklace etc. Or even a vintage fruit type one like these ones (but I love gaudy jewellery I do ):
