This is my 2nd S&B thread in 2 days! I am going for dinner at Saf then to KRG for drinks on Saturday- I will be out of my natural habitat. Will I be ok in dark blue TopShop Baxter jeans, skinny torquise belt, black vest thing, chiffon top with beading/drapey bit/ collar. (I have a few of these) and peep toe heels (will have to take ballet pumps in bag, am terrible heel wearer/drunk)?

Shameless bumping for evening crowd, worried In case they are likely to tell me to do one as soon as they see me at the door Wink

I've been and didn't wear jeans, I wore a dress, and remember people being quite glammed up.

DialsMavis · 10/05/2012 21:16

Ahhh ok really? Did you wear a going clubbing type dress or a going out for dinner type dress?

I've been in jeans and felt fine, but that was just for lunch. not sure if things get dramatically smarter by evening....i bet you'd be fine

it's really lovely up there Envy

Oooh I love Saf. Envy

Never been to Kensington Roof Gardens tho. There was a work party there one night but I didn't go (was away on holiday).

Your outfit sounds lovely. I've gone there straight from work and didn't feel out of place. Just look confident then it doesn't matter what you have on.

Been there after work too and casual smart is enough. It is a nice place and you will hopefully have a great weather!! Lucky you! Enjoy!!

Thanks all! Scraping pennies to go and buy a very cheap blazery type thing, don't think even a confident strut will allow me to pull my sweaty, plastic, meant to look like a barbour plastic primark mac off. Even more so because I have just noticed it has metainium all down one arm Grin
