This DottieP dress in the day time with either natural tights or black opaque tights, what type of shoes are the options?

Biker boots to toughen it up with opaques/coloured tights/nude legs.
Flats or brogues with nude tights/nude legs for casual 'running to the shops' type thing.
Court shoes with nude tights for a more 'formal' look.

Thanks, does it matter how high the biker boots are? Mine are ankle boots but high ankle boots rather than low ankle boots IYSWIM

Yes and no, if you're relatively leggy then either is fine.
The problem is if you're a bit of a short-arse like me, then the calf is shortened and the leg looks 'bowed' if the boot cuts off on or above the ankle.

ShopaholicSuzie · 09/05/2012 22:40

Hmmm, I am not leggy. No, never been described as leggy Sad

Would shoe-boots be better so they don't cut of above the ankle then?

Oh dear. Shoe-boots quite possibly would be as they tend to dip slightly at the front and lengthen the leg - however, just to depress you, they won't work unless the dress is at least an inch above the knee (can you tell I may have done some experimenting with this one? Grin).

Seriously though, it's a nice dress and not pricey - why not buy it, try on everything in your shoe collection and see after that - you might be surprised!

Yeah I like it so will give it a try. I could return it if I don't like it or can't find shoes that suit me and the dress.

It's fab. I'd go for some yellow ballet flats (not with opaques though, obviously).

Or cream if your not as into bright and brazen as me. Wedges would also be good.

My dd has a similar dress and wore it this weekend with white brogues, it looked fab.
