I hate my long and leans!!!! Sorry! They are sooooooooo low cut. I have some Gap western bootcut ones and love them - not as leg-expanding as long and lean but at least I can move in them without giving everybody an eyeful of wobble.
I got a wide brown leather belt from - Gap(!) just after Christmas which fits their jeans v well.

views re jeans for people who are def not long and lean? any reccommendations from podgy people?

ScummyMummy · 20/02/2006 17:38

yes- they did look nice cod and I liked the waistband and pockets a lot but the L & Ls def looked better on me for some reason. The denim person agreed and she seemed to know her stuff (and they were the same price so I trusted her).
controlfreaky- wouldn't say I'm podgy exactly but I'm certainly neither long nor lean. I think they are flattering jeans for my shape which is fairly curvy. I found the jeans person in Gap amazingly good at helping me decide which jeans to get and they have a big range at the moment. Why don't you go and try some on and ask for some help to find the right pair? Every store has jeans experts on hand, I think.

how do the sizes work? I've got a pair of long ' n lean & adore them. Got 2nd pair same size & can't get into them at all. Are they US sizes, so 2 below uk, so is size 8 gap really 12, 6 really 10? or what?

think i need to stick with the bigger flair. I've got a pair of gap boot cut & they're miles to narrow at bottom & make bum look huge

the sizes always seem to be inbetween UK sizes IYSWIM -for example in Gap US sizes I'm a 6 which I think is between a 10 and 12 UK sizes .

I'm sure thats why I like their jeans so much because I can't get into UK 10 but 12 is too big in places
