Can anyone suggest some good brands for a man in mid 40s? Looking for something a bit more groovy than Blue Harbour.

My dh gets his jeans from Uniqlo.

Man in his 40s here. Depends on the style and price you're looking for. The Uniqlo link looks good but not tried them myself. I always like the jeans in Urban Outfitters. Can be on the expensive side, but they sometimes show up in TK Maxx as well.

Jeff Banks are nice or Zara.

The Uniqlo jeans are very good quality, keep their colour well and wash well. Dh and I both wear them. They seem to fit true to size for mens. He gets the relaxed fit as he has large thighs due to cycling!

Tommy Hillfiger do great jeans for men and women.
Dh looks great in his Smile

I work with a very stylish (in jeans kind of way) 40something man. He wears loads of expensive designer jeans but he loves the UNIQLO Japanese denim jeans.

HipHopOpotomus · 18/05/2012 10:19

I met Nick Kamen once. We were chatting and I asked him if he had been on holiday (he had a gorgeous colour/glow).

he replied "no it's in my genes".

I didn't know he was the Levis guy - and wondered why my everyone else was almost falling down trying not to laugh out loud! Clever!

I second Tommy Hilfiger jeans, even look well with the little paunch which can be covered by a casual Tommy shirt though!

Nudie jeans are lovely and a very good price for premium denim.
