Hi,

Currently my hair is about 3 inches below my collarbone, layered at the front/sides with a straight fringe (sometimes I wear it straight down, other times brushed to the side slightly). I had some highlights put in the top layer a while back but now those feel like straw, the rest of my hair is brown and in good condition. My hair is fairly straight but kinky on the top layers if I leave it to dry naturally (I think this is because it is damaged by the highlights).... It is looking totally unkempt and I need to do something about it, but I don't know what. The beachy look I was attempting at trying to be kinder to my hair by not drying it, is clearly not working. I am mostly a casual look type of person, if that makes any difference.

I have quite a big nose and a large (high) forehead, so I definitely need some kind of fringe. I also am not allowed to wear hair products at work, or make-up!, therefore I can't rely on the above to make myself look better! I think my face would look too severe if I went short, but my hair is definitely too long at it's current length.

I am 34 and was thinking of going for some kind of graduated bob, but is that very dull? Any ideas gratefully accepted - I am useless at this kind of thing!! Thanks!
