It's for a lectureship.
My dress is a tricky one - it's very professional looking, from Kew, wool, fitted shift dress with no sleeves (but a high neckline). It's this kind of thing but has a wobbly tum disguising flattering gather at the waist. Makes me look thin which is good. It's in a purple similar to the purple above, the search box!
I'm struggling with it though. It's a warm dress but I don't want to have cold arms. I've tried it with various suit jackets but they don't look good - mainly because they don't go!
I'm thinking thin cardigan, but can't think what colour! Any suggestions?
My sister, accountant, says no no no to cardigans at interviews, but I've seen them worn - academic jobs are smart casual usually.
I could wear my fabby suit (£20 from Tesco some years ago - looks expensive, just the right side of trendy, fits like couture
) but I've had Bad Experiences in it recently!
