What colours would you wear for a job interview?

I went to an interview last week to work in a public library - was unsuccessful Sad but I should have some more interviews coming through so I hope to get a job soon.

Dd said I looked far too green - I wore an emerald green shirt, black suit and a chunky necklace that was blue, green and beige.

I remember I once heard the least popular colour for car buyers is green Hmm although I'm sure my green shirt didn't put them off!

I am dark haired and olive skinned so I'm sure the colour suited me, but does anybody think certain colours communicate efficiency/calmness/friendliness, if it matters at all?

I think it sounds fine.

I always wear a dark skirt/trouser suit and have a bit more colour in the top. I detest the black suit white shirt look, it's for school children.

I like navy -- I also like dresses.

I skip the big jewelery & bags for interviews -- my husband finds them distracting and many of the people who interview me are male so I listen to his opinion.
