Comfy skinny jeans?

I like wearing skinny jeans and I have a couple of pairs (one cheap & one pricey). My issue is that neither pair are comfortable! I have to get them off as soon as I'm in the house for the rest of the day.

Can anyone recommend a make that aren't necessarily skintight but that sit comfortably round the bottom & hips? Not too expensive either!

I've tried on pairs in bigger sizes but the bottom just looked too baggy! I'm tall & a size 12.

I bought some great ones in H&M recently for £9.99. They were great as they have different leg lengths rather than just 'size 12'. Very comfy.

StyleGuile · 03/05/2012 13:35

I really like the Topshop Kristen which I tried for the first time a few weeks ago. They have a high rise which is really comfortable and supportive and they come in a 34" leg and longer, in the Tall Range, if you need it. You can see how they look when on, here: styleguile.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/on-run-rise-on-jeans-part-2-topshop.html

You could also look at the Topshop website here.

The Levis Curve ones are great. You get the 'curve' that fits your shape, and they have loads of elastane in so are very stretchy and comfy. And don't fall down or get baggy knees.

Pelicano · 03/05/2012 13:42

M&S jeggings - the £22.50 ones.
I also swapped to something else indoors till I bought these.
They come in long length also, but I would recommend a) sizing down b)ordering or trying on a few pairs in the same size as they vary so much!

Pelicano · 03/05/2012 13:43

They retain the shape with no bum baginess.

dozensofpichu · 03/05/2012 13:47

I've bought two pairs recently, H&M and topshop, both comfy, although had to size down in topshop and up in H&M Confused but both go really baggy! The ones I've had longest and find most comfortable have actually been from primark.

wonderwooman · 03/05/2012 14:18

Thanks everyone!

I keep meaning to go into Topshop and try some on - I like the sound of the highrise.

and I remember hearing really positive things about the Levis Curve, so I'm going to check out both websites now.

I love the Topshop Jamies. High waisted, soft and very comfy.

DaddyPigsSecretAdmirer · 03/05/2012 14:34

I'm tall and a size 12 and bought a couple of pairs last night from Primark (had to brave Meadowhall, was ready for killing someone by the time I'd finished :o ) They were 11 quid and I'm wearing a pair today-they are really comfy, quite high waisted so no muffin top. Cannot stand low slung jeans with my jelly belly! I do find Primark jeans don't take long to go baggy at the knees though. We shall see! :(

Weasar · 03/05/2012 14:45

H&M super skinny slim fit are the best fitting jeans for me (and I'm certainly not skinny/slimGrin ) - quite hard to find in the length/waist size I need but they are only £19.99 and lovely and stretchy but still feel like proper denim. I really struggle to find jeans that fit well, as i have thin thighs, average hips but very thick waist (ie straight up and down with no differentiation between waist and hips)

midoriway · 03/05/2012 15:00

Dorothy perkins has been a revelation for jeans, comfy, cheap, look good. They aren't going to last an aeon, but for £19 I don't care.

COCKadoodledooo · 03/05/2012 15:08

Will I be hounded out for saying Asda? Blush I love mine - higher on the waist than others I've had too.

daenerysstormborn · 03/05/2012 15:12

my next ones are quite comfy, gap ones are not. asda great bum ones are comfy too.

KellyKapowski · 03/05/2012 15:20

The best skinnies I have ever had are Lee Scarlets.

Lots of stretch, don't go baggy and good quality denim.

lumbago · 03/05/2012 15:30

i wonder if oyu are really a sizw 14 and they are digging in

every time i lose weight my jeans are comfier

MaisieM · 03/05/2012 15:32

Gap High Rise skinny

pootlebug · 03/05/2012 15:34

Primark ones - £9. Not the super-skinny, just the regular skinny. Really comfy. I bought a pair a size up to wear post baby but am off to Primark at the first opportunity to get some in my normal size too.

FrankWippery · 03/05/2012 15:38

Mid price I would say definitely the Top Shop ones. I have lots of pairs of the Leigh ones and I love them.

Higher range I have 3 pairs of J Brand skinnies and they are SO ridiculously comfortable. Worth every pound spent, and I will remain loyal for as long as they make them!

lumbago · 03/05/2012 15:40

leigh too thin

FrankWippery · 03/05/2012 15:51

They're bloody comfortable. Each to their own and all that.

wonderwooman · 03/05/2012 16:26

I liked the look of the Leighs on the website - and the Jamies. I think I need to go into Topshop, child-free, and try on a load.

My current (uncomfortable) skinnies are from H&M and MIH (really annoyed about these ones as they were pricey - although I did buy them in the sale).

Lumbago, I'm actually normally a 10/12, but am verging on the bigger at the moment. However, I did buy both when smaller, so I guess that's where the answer lies!! I need a bigger pair!

Leighs and Jamies are very skinny, I cant get my legs in them, Baxters are my favourite Topshop jeans just wish they had a bit more stretch.

winefairy · 03/05/2012 18:20

Reiss. Look decidedly meh on the site but believe me they are flattering and super comfy. Can't claim credit. Someone else linked to them recently on a 'jeans for curvy girls' thread. I'm a 10/12 and really liked the fit.

DonInKillerHeels · 03/05/2012 18:22

Gap. I like.
