Go on the John Lewis website as you can narrow it down by colour. Phase eight are always good for dresses. Think wallis have 20% off all their dresses at the moment.

anon80 · 02/05/2012 21:28

maybe

This

Or this in any of the 3 colours available

In brown

what about this one?

still like the idea of polka dot better though

cremeeggsrock · 02/05/2012 21:46

evening:) Age, shape???

MoonlightandRoses · 02/05/2012 22:18

You could also go with a brown or cafe au lait type colour base for the dress:
Alexon shift
likely to be knee length unless you're 5'11"
simple spotted dress
another spotted dress, but is viscose
colours on this are brown and blue, so not sure
white
would definitely work with chocolate and cream

Also, you haven't mentioned budget or favoured dress style, so have taken a bit of a scatter gun approach in regards to these Grin

50s chic?

Brandnewbrighttomorrow · 02/05/2012 23:44

What about this they have good jackets too?

Brandnewbrighttomorrow · 03/05/2012 00:24

Or this is really cute.

ooohhhh love the ideas keep them coming :-) Age is early 30s and shape is apple I think - definitely bigger up top with skinny legs (roughly a 12). Budget is up to £150 I think ;-) Not sure I would feel comfortable wearing a totally cream dress - am quite fair with light brown hair so worried about looking pasty!!
Thanks for the ideas.

Only had time for a quick check, how about a v.simple wrap?
chocolate wrap

Will do some more detailed digging later.

cremeeggsrock · 03/05/2012 12:47

this would suit your shape above budget Grin

Hi Stump, the phase eight outfit is lovely, only thing is it looks a bit 'old' [i am same age as you] although its hard to always tell with a picture! often looks different when you try it on.....Blush if you feel comfy in it theres some great control knickers around! x

stump · 03/05/2012 13:50

Great price so you can go to town on fab shoes & bag.. If worried about suck in it in underwear you can't beat Spanx!
