Last questions about my outfit I promise!

Ok, have asked lots of questions about what to wear and have had some great advice but one last question Grin.

So, am wearing this dress and have ordered these shoes as well as yellow clarks ones. Have just been searching for a bag though and found this pair of bertie shoes and am thinking I prefer them. Does anyone agree?

Am also really struggling to find a bag and wondered if I could get away with this one from dune or is it just too much of a mismatch. Do have a pair of thick strappy high sandals that are same colour of tan as a back up.

Any help very gratefully received thanks as its on Friday!

Dress is truly lovely (I'm assuming you have a cracking figure-that is a 'cracking figure' kinda frock)

Both pairs of shoes are terrible imo. They look like they're made from denim and a) don't go with and b) becheapen a frock such as yours.

Tan would be infinitely preferable. Do you have a link to the tan shoes?

The bag, again, in no way whatsoever goes with the dress. What's the occasion?

FunnysInLaJardin · 01/05/2012 22:28

I think the blue wedges would go really well with the dress, but I think you need to find a simple mid blue clutch to pull it all together. Don't think the satchel really goes with the dress

Nospringflower · 01/05/2012 22:33

Not sure about the cracking figure bit but size 8, thin, and this gives me shape where often I have none!

Am laughing at your brutal honesty about the shoes but feel you're being a bit harsh! Got lots of positive comments before about the wedges (its a garden party) and so need something that can manage grass. Anyway, these are the yellow clarks ones that I have also ordered but think they will get knackered on wet grass and I wont get much wear from them. You will probably hate them too Bunny!!

Did think I was stretching it with the bag though Grin

oops - forgot to link to yellow ones here.

Yellow ones go better with the dress IMHO. No to the bag though.

cocobongo · 01/05/2012 22:42

agree with bunny, shoes don't go with the dress. don't really like the yellow either, though they're better than the blue. tan would def go better (which is probably why they've styled the model with tan shoes Smile).

BunnyLebowski · 01/05/2012 22:53

Sorry OP...I didn't mean to be harsh. Just honest. That's a gorgeous dress and deserves only the finest of accessories!

I actually quite like the yellow shoes (I have 10+ pairs of t-bars) but they don't go with the dress any more than the blue ones do.

I'm off for a mooch for you....

I've just ordered these tan sandals after a thread on here, I think they are beeeyootiful! (And would go with your very lovely dress.)

Nospringflower · 01/05/2012 23:05

I have ordered that raffia clutch (on someone's recommendation on here) but havent seen it in the flesh yet. I like the look of it and would be happy with a clutch bag but just grudge paying for something that I will hardly ever use. Dont mind paying more for something I love and will use more but maybe I just need to get over that. I think the laura ashley one is a bit baskety for my liking. Like the John Lewis sandals and they arent dissimilar to ones that I already have. Am going to have to go and check them. I can take photos on my phone but dont know how I can then get a pic on here.

Or these? I have just fallen in love all over again...

Nospringflower · 01/05/2012 23:11

Too strappy for me I'm afraid - dont think my feet are that nice and at a garden party think i could be spiking the grass!

Right, after about half an hour I have finally managed to upload a photo of my tan sandals to my profile - if anyone hasnt got bored by now Grin. Any luck mooching Bunny? I do know what everyone means and I think me knowing that things arent quite right is what keeps driving me back here. Think I might go and try dress on with my own tan sandals and see what it looks like. Will still need bag but that raffia clutch would go ... Wine

what about something like these?

nude wedges

same shoes, cheaper if you are a size 6 only!

nude wedges cheaper

Nospringflower · 02/05/2012 10:34

Thanks for those suggestions Cocobongo but I'm not a size 6 Smile and would prefer something a bit more closed in. Don't have to be wedges but just something that won't sink in. Thanks.

I think the tan sandal you have and the phase eight rafia clutch would look good. But I still think that the blue wedges would look good, esp with a rafia clutch which would match the wedge part
