Best make up to cover broken veins?

I have been given some John Lewis vouchers for my birthday and I would like to buy some really good make up. I don't have great skin with open pores and a lot of broken veins around my nose and cheeks. What would do the best cover up job? Should I go for mineral make up?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I like bare minerals. It has good coverage that you can increase or decrease according to your needs. But for great cover Estée Lauder double wear is fantastic

Just had a look at Bare Mineral's website. It looks great and they sell it a JL. Now just have to pluck up the courage to visit the scary looking staff at the cosmetics counter with my hag like complexion!

Thank you for the tip.

I have awful broken veins on my face. Personally, I hate mineral foundation, just don't get on with it at all.

Foundations I like are Estee Lauder double wear, double wear light ( still pretty good coverage ) and Estee Lauder Futurist. Double wear light probably my favourite, but they are all great.

MAC pro longwear foundation, and Shiseido liquid sun protection foundation. Think John Lewis probably only stock Estee Lauder out of those three brands though.

Vichy Dermablend is also excellent.

Also, if using a liquid foundation, invest in a good primer too. I love MAC spf50 prep and prime.

IME BM woman aren't scary but do like to convince you that you need the entire range - you don't. I have bad veins but the bisque covers them so well some days I don't need foundation. Just waltz in and say you want to try the Bisque - sound confident even if you aren't. Then come home and order it on Amazon or ebay as it id half the price Grin
