Favourite cream blusher discontinued - Dior Hip Peach - any alternatives?

I've just found out that my favourite cream blusher has been discontinued Sad It was Diors Pro cheeks in Hip peach. It looked pretty orange in the pot but was lovely and natural when on.

The lady on the counter said nobody was doing cream blusher any more Shock Surely thats rubbish, its brilliant stuff!

Has anyone got any suggestions as to an alternative?

having read all the MN positive stuff about cream blushers I went on the search yesterday for my first ever pot. Asked at Dior who said they don't do cream blushers any more. Then tried Benefit who said they didn't either. They pointed me towards Bobbi Brown. Tried their's on my hand but if felt sooooo sticky. Next on to Trish McAvoy who do this lip/cheek stain. Have got it on now. I like the texture but not the colour. Got a sample of it but will investigate further to see if they do any more shades. This one is too pink for me. Sorry not much help sweetpotato but at least 3 big brands told me they don't do cream ones any more. Wonder why?

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge is meant to be good. I've never tried it, prefer powder blushes myself.

It's not a cream but a stain - benefit cha cha tint, it looks quite orange but once it's on it looks lovely and natural and gives a really healthy glow.

Clinique? Guerlain? Laura Mercier?

MrsLettuce · 01/05/2012 16:44

Mac still do them AFAIK

Try Stila Convertible. I have it in Petunia on the recommendation of a SpaceNK woman. I would never have picked it up otherwise. It's gorgeous on, makes me glow and last quite a while for a cream too.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out.

I'm a bit scared by the really creamy ones as I'm not that great at applying- just tend to dab it on, so might end up looking like Aunt Sally. The Dior one was more of a creamy mousse/ powder so was really forgiving.

Stila Convertible Color is great, Gerbera is a peachy orange shade but it is quite easy to put too much on! I frequently do...

If it's moussy-powdery try Maybelline? I think they do a peachy one. Can't remember what they're called but I have a pink one I like:

Illamasqua cream blusters are great. I have an orange one that looks scary but is lovely on, and a pink one that gives a early fresh look. Both last all day too. I would recommend them, speaking as a make-up junkie

CountessOlenska · 01/05/2012 22:08

Oh, and put a bit on, then stipple in with a brush until you are happy with colour. Will stay on longer too

futterbingers · 02/05/2012 00:16

Nobody's doing them anymore? Help! I'll have to stock up. Maybelline do one called something like Dream matte mousse; limited choice of colours but i bought the plum colour, its actually a lovely rosey colour and it just makes me look brighter and healthier. No glitter in it which is good imo. Cheaper than some of the brands you mentioned and it lasts forever.

I have a Barbara Daly cream blusher from Tesco which is great, and a peachy coral colour.

Daniel Sandler in soft peach is divine Smile

I think you'll find the B brown one way too sticky.

The absolute best - and closest to what your describing I think- is the By Terry creme blush. It's a soft mousy texture and almost like a cream to powder. Very easy to just dab and blend on with fingers.

I like the Stila one and also Cha Cha Tint.

whackamole · 02/05/2012 16:53

Have you tried Strawberry.net? You might be able to stock up.

tunaday · 02/05/2012 17:03

I tried my sample of the Trish MacAvoy lip/cheek stain today and I don't like it. It feels clammy/bit sticky and the colour seemed to fade in a few hours. Am glad i didn't buy it now. going to try the Barbara Daly one next (although they'd run out of it in my tesco). I bought Stila eye shadow which I absolutely love but I think I'm a bit sensitive to it as my eyes look red and are a bit runny when i use it. Bit worried to try the blusher for that reason.

whackamole · 02/05/2012 17:07

I can type now I have put the baby down!

What about Rude by Illamasqua? Here. I love the texture of their cream blushers and they certainly aren't discontinuing them. I just don't wear them often as I always powder over the top which totally ruins it.
