This is on Buyapowa & I'm tempted. Has anyone tried it? What do you think? Is it very shimmery?

It's great but I buy the body shop copy cat version as its at least £10 cheaper. Yeah its shimmery so during the day a little is all you need

V shimmery but I adore the shimmer bricks. I have a normal, an eyesone and a bronzing one. They make me feel all youthful and fresh

Housewife2010 · 01/05/2012 10:17

Would you say they're too shimmery for daytime? I don't go out at night anymore & spend my like at playgroups & the school run but I'm going through a makeup obsession at the moment & keep buying it! It looks so pretty.

I use it in the daytime (I have nooooo social life past kids bedtime ) - I use a massive blusher brush and swirl it lightly, then apply on cheeks, temples and across eyelids. It's just enough to give a bit of luminosity and freshness. It wakes me up, makes me not look so shattered. Just go lightly - but that said, the bronzer one will be on the third summer this year and still loads left so worth every penny I think. The reviews on QVC for it are excellent too :)

Go for it - life is too short to be matte.

You are naughty. I think you've forced me to succumb. I've just been paid £29 by Quidco so I suppose that makes it free.
If anyone is interested, it's on Buyapowa at the moment. The more people who buy the more the price will go down. It's currently £24.50 & could go as low as £22.50 (plus £1.75 p&P)
I have trawled through lots of makeup alley reviews but you're the one who has persuaded me! If it makes me look like a Strictly contestant on the school run I'll know who to blame!

heh heh :) I love make up and shizzle. Feels gooooood to be girly! :o @ Strictly! I love Strictly toooooo

valiumredhead · 01/05/2012 11:16

I really don't like it

Look at Alison Young on QVC as a reason why NOT to wear it. It's far too shimmery, would just about be ok for evenings.

lollystix · 01/05/2012 11:20

I like it but you really need to go easy and look in mirror in good light before you drop the kids at school.

Pinot · 01/05/2012 11:32

val! :o

Lightly applied it's ace. Same as luminising moisturiser - too much and it's glittertastic. Lightly done, tres chic.

valiumredhead · 01/05/2012 11:35

Ok, will take your word for it as you are a fellow sheep Wink BUT I have yet to see someone wearing it where it looks nice and I ALWAYS know they are wearing it because I can spot it a mile off so am not convinced Grin

Pinot · 01/05/2012 11:45

haha!

hiviolet · 01/05/2012 16:23

Nah, the only reason dear Alison Young looks a bit dodgy wearing it is because she wears WAY too much. She overdoes it on the eyeliner too.

Pinot · 01/05/2012 16:25

For a beauty 'pert she sure is fugly.

Pinot · 01/05/2012 16:25

ooh that was nasty. True but nasty.

I shall go and think about my behaviour whilst flicking through a mag

hiviolet · 01/05/2012 17:01

Oh I like her. When she isn't being gobby and rolling out her favourite phrases (she has a thing about busy nurses doesn't she?) she's actually very knowledgeable and has a very dry sense of humour.

I watch too many QVC beauty shows Blush

valiumredhead · 01/05/2012 17:02

Ha ha yes the shift workers and nurses always cracks me up too. She wears SO much blusher, someone needs to tell her!

Housewife2010 · 01/05/2012 19:32

I've just checked this thread now & I'm worried. What have I done? I don't want to be scarily sparkly at the school gates - I want to look luminously beautiful & well-rested!

I was given a shimmer brick as a gift. I hate it. Makes me look like I've been exposed to radiation no matter how lightly I apply it. Sorry.
